Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word that has been translated to mean "universal life energy" or "life force energy". Reiki is a healing system that was established by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist scholar, in Japan during the 1900s. Initially it was rediscovered in ancient Sanskrit texts by Dr Usui, and after a life-changing experience he used the healing energy to treat people, and teach others in his clinic in Japan. Reiki was taken to the West and taught in the USA in the 1940s.
A Reiki treatment is simple but effective. The client lies down or sits on a chair, fully clothed, and the healer places their hands on the body. As the energy is channelled through the healer it removes blockages and allows the energy to move freely. This gives the body the best chance to self-heal as well as deeply relax. During a treatment the client may feel tingly sensations, the running flow of energy, warmth, coolness or sometimes, nothing at all. Whether one senses the energy flowing or not, the treatment is still effective and the energy continues to work for several days afterwards.
Reiki is:
- highly effective but very gentle
- deeply relaxing
- balancing
- releases blocked physical, emotional and mental issues
- simple, natural and safe
- treats the cause of illness, not just the symptoms
- enhances personal awareness
- promotes creativity
- non-invasive
- spiritual but non-religious
To become a Reiki healer, a person is attuned (initiated) to the Reiki energies during a simple but powerful ceremony. There are three levels of energy, Level 1 (for yourself, friends and family, animals and plants), Level 2 (Reiki Practitioner) and Mastership (teacher). The attunements are given separately with supporting tuition. It is advised to leave plenty of time between levels to assimilate the energy, allow it to work with you to balance and heal your whole life, and to understand and put into practice the practical teaching.
The Reiki that I teach and attune to is also given as part of Seichem. Please see the Seichem page of this website for further information. If you would like to be attuned to Reiki, bear in mind that by being attuned to Seichem you are attuned to Reiki at the same time. Seichem attunes to a full spectrum of energies: fire, air, water and earth, whilst Reiki can be described as the earth energy alone. Give Seichem some consideration before you make your decision.
Courses
Reiki is taught in three stages:
At Level 1 (2 days) you are attuned to Level 1 Reiki and the Violet Flame and taught how to work on yourself and others, animals and plants.
At Level 2 (3-4 days) you are attuned to Level 2 Reiki, and the Violet Flame, channel stronger energy, and are introduced to the use of symbols. You also learn distance healing, mental/emotional cleanse, magnetic healing, hosanna clearance, and how to create a crystal grid. You are taught to become a Reiki Therapist, and learn how to work in a professional context should you wish to do so.
At Master Level (3 days/flexible) you are attuned to the Master energies, Violet Flame, and learn how to attune others. I teach clients how to teach on a one-to-one basis and in group situations, so that the newly attuned Master has confidence in their own abilities as a teacher as well as a therapist.
I am willing to give the Master energy attunement as an attunement without the commitment from the client to learning how to teach and attune others. The client would be known as a Level 3 Practitioner rather than a Master.
All Courses are taught on a one-to-one basis or small groups of 2 - 4, and come with a manual and ongoing support.
Monthly Reiki /Seichem Meet-Up
Learn Reiki-Seichem and then meet with myself on a monthly basis to exchange Reiki-Seichem, practice the therapy and receive the life changing energy.
This is part of your learning support and you are welcome. Exchanges are at no extra cost and held at Susie's home in Queensgate, Bridlington.
